Happy Halloween!

I'm not a huge fan of Halloween. I don't like to be scared and I don't like to contribute to American children's obesity problem. I wanted to hand out carrot sticks but Mark forbid me! hahaha kidding I wouldn't actually do that... But anyway, this year I really enjoyed Halloween. My sister needed driving hours so she can get her license in January. So Jamie and my mom came down for the weekend. We started the festivities by attending Thriller. It's our Halloween tradition and one thing I actually look forward to about this holiday. The show was wonderful!
Saturday morning we carved pumpins. It's Pedro's first official Halloween, so we had to do it right!
Pretty good pumpkins huh! Carved by Grandma Kerri, Pedro, Aunt Jamie and Mommy Mindee (unfortunately Markie Mark had to work during the day)
We spent the afternoon playing Rock Band and making cookies. I mean what's a little more sugar?
Mia (another exchange student) came over for dinner and to hang out. I told Jamie to bring a costume just in case there was a party... no party, but Mia and Pedro had never been trick or treating. So we went through my closet and found costumes and the three teenagers hit up the neighborhood for candy. hahaha doesn't Pedro look really comfortable?

Your pumpkins look great. And I liked the impromptu costumes... very clever. Mindee... please don't ever give out carrot sticks on Halloween. Listen to your husband. haha.

I've never been to Thriller, but it looks like so much fun! You know, Jaylee actually got quite a few things while out trick or treating that wasn't candy. She got pretzels, stickers, a bracelet, and a glow stick. There's a few ideas for next year if you decide you don't want to give out candy!

Very impressive pumpkins! I can't even do semi-small cuts, so I can forget about anything with intricate details. What is your carving secret?

Great pumpkins! Maybe you should consider those little things of play-doh instead of candy...much better than carrot sticks! ha!
