39 weeks

This week has been crazy!  I've been having lots of contractions and pressure with some soreness in my hip joints which is annoying.  Plus I've been sick with the normal winter junk... sore throat, cough, sneezing, runny/stuffy nose and a little bit of body aches.  Seems like at 9 months moms should not get sick!

On top of that it's like I've been bombed at work.  Tons of issues and problems have arisen as I'm trying to get ahead for while I'm gone.  Insurance/DMV problems, cell phones damaged, long distance carrier issues, new banquets to arrange, superbowl party this weekend, the list goes on and on...  Not sure if it's good that they happened now so I can get them taken care of before I'm in recovery/survival mode.  It seems like that always happens when we're either headed out of town or to the temple.  Geesh!  I guess I should be grateful I have felt well enough to work up until the day the baby arrives.  I'll be at work late tonight (the night before I'm induced) closing out the month, finalizing inventory, and getting Jan statements sent out.

Anyway we are ready and excited and it's here!  Seems kind of surreal and this pregnancy went by really fast (after the miserable first trimester was over).  At 38 weeks I was dilated to a 2 and I'm hoping this week I've progressed further and tomorrow will be quick.

My mom is coming to stay the weekend and hang out with Marshall while I'm in the hospital.  But I have been so overwhelmed with the generosity of people offering to help if I need anything.  I have had dozens of friends, neighbors, co-workers, ward & stake members offer to take Marshall or help in any way I need.  It's so nice to know that even though we don't have family in Mesquite, we have a whole support system of loving people around us.  I am so grateful for that!!

Wishing you the best of luck today! Can't wait to see pictures of your little one! Isn't it great to be able to live in a community where people are so willing to help and become your family? We've found that here in Vernal as well, and even though we don't have any family around, it's so nice to have such great friends, etc who are more than willing to step in and help out!
